La Ropa Rental Apartments and Rooms

Playa La Ropa, the best and favorite beach on Zihuatanejo Bay, lies a short, two-block, almost flat walk from El Tamarindo. There are no large hills to scale on the walk between the warm sands of the bay and the property.

Built as a family home, El Tamarindo exudes the warmth and ease of home-style comfort. Four buildings house independent rental apartments and rooms in the complex that winds up a slope from street level.

There are three 1-bedroom suites or apartments available on intermediate levels of the El Tamarindo property. Each suite has independent access, its own kitchenette, a comfortable, bright dining and sitting area, and an air-conditioned bedroom.View

Apartments do not have main house kitchen privileges as they have their own kitchenettes.

There are two attractive and large rooms, Anacahuite and Bejuco, in the main house near street level. Each consists of a large room with private bath and plenty of natural light. There are two single beds in each room that can be joined to form one king. Both are accessed directly from the exterior front terrace.

The large main front terrace right outside your door offers a small dipping pool, rocking chairs, hammock, outdoor dining space, and free wireless Internet.

These rooms are granted kitchen privileges to the main house kitchen for occasional light food prep. Guests must coordinate use with family and sometimes other guests if they are residence; in addition, everyone is expected to clean up after themselves when using the kitchen and common areas.

Single rooms without kitchen privileges, Ocotillo and Zapotillo, are located on the upper level overlooking the tropical vegetation of La Ropa. These units are very comfy and views are wonderful from the top of the property. The rooms are air conditioned, have independent access, private baths with shower, small fridges, and can accommodate one or two guests.

Upper detached rooms do not include main house kitchen privileges.

Every rental apartment and room has independent access from the exterior.

A pathway and a series of exterior stairways meander up through the garden areas to access each of the modules. Family is sometimes in residence, and other guests and family may share the front terrace and dipping pool with you while you’re here.

Please note that because of the hillside, the exterior stairways that access the upper rental apartments and rooms above and behind the main house can pose a challenge for people with mobility problems.

The large open-air and palapa-covered rooftop terrace overlooks the wonderfully lush vegetation and flowers of La Ropa Beach neighborhood and hills with a distant glimpse of the bay. The property is convenient to downtown Zihuatanejo via public transportation and taxis that run past the front gate, and it is within steps of several very good restaurants serving Mexican and international cuisine.
